Model tiers
Fast, Balanced and Best: how careful each tier is, how much plan usage it takes, which plans include it, and where you choose it.

Every scan runs on a model tier: Fast, Balanced or Best. The tier sets how careful the review is and how much plan usage it takes.

The three tiers

Higher tiers take longer and use more of your plan. Level and tier together decide what a scan uses, so each tier card carries its own estimate for the project and level you chose.
Where you choose a tier
- New scan. The Models step has one card per tier.
- A schedule. Pick a tier, or follow the organization default.
- Re-verify. The dialog has the same picker. See Re-verify earlier findings.
- Organization default. The Models page sets it for every project.
A schedule without a tier of its own uses the organization default each time it runs, not the default from the day you saved it. The card for the default tier carries a Default badge.
What the cards show
Each card shows the tier's name and a one-line summary. A usage meter ranks the three tiers, with Fast lowest. Beside it is an estimate for this scan, written as a share of your plan, such as "~6.5% of your plan". While the estimate loads the card says "Estimating…", and if none can be made it says "Estimate unavailable".
If the chosen tier would use more than your remaining plan usage, the dialog says "Best exceeds your remaining plan usage", with the tier's name in place of Best.
Tiers your plan does not include
A tier outside your plan is dashed, with a lock that names the plan that includes it, such as "Unlocks with Pro". You cannot select it. Best comes with Pro and above. See Plans and the trial.
A scan never runs on a lower tier than the one you chose. If that tier is not available when you start, the scan does not start.
Before you start
Compare the estimates on the three cards, then press Start scan on the tier you want. The New scan dialog page walks through every step.
